I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer. |

你豈不知亙古以來,自從人生在地。 |

Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth, |

惡人夸勝是暫時的,不敬虔人的喜樂,不過轉(zhuǎn)眼之間嗎。 |

That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment? |

Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he? |

他必飛去如夢,不再尋見,速被趕去,如夜間的異象。 |

He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night. |

親眼見過他的,必不再見他。他的本處也再見不著他。 |

The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him. |

他的兒女要求窮人的恩。他的手要賠還不義之財。 |

His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods. |

His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust. |

Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue; |

愛戀不舍,含在口中。 |

Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth: |

他的食物在肚里卻要化為酸,在他里面成為虺蛇的惡毒。 |

Yet his meat in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him. |

他吞了財寶,還要吐出。神要從他腹中掏出來。 |

He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly. |

他必吸飲虺蛇的毒氣。蝮蛇的舌頭也必殺他。 |

He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper's tongue shall slay him. |

流奶與蜜之河,他不得再見。 |

He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter. |

他勞碌得來的要賠還,不得享用(原文作吞下),不能照所得的財貨歡樂。 |

That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein. |

他欺壓窮人,且又離棄。強(qiáng)取非自己所蓋的房屋(或作強(qiáng)取房屋不得再建造)。 |

Because he hath oppressed and hath forsaken the poor; because he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not; |

他因貪而無厭,所喜悅的連一樣也不能保守。 |

Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired. |

其馀的沒有一樣他不吞滅,所以他的福樂不能長久。 |

There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods. |

他在滿足有馀的時候,必到狹窄的地步。凡受苦楚的人,都必加手在他身上。 |

In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him. |

他正要充滿肚腹的時候,神必將猛烈的忿怒,降在他身上。正在他吃飯的時候,要將這忿怒像雨降在他身上。 |

When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating. |

He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through. |

It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him. |

他的財寶歸于黑暗。人所不吹的火要把他燒滅,要把他帳棚中所剩下的燒毀。 |

All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle. |

天要顯明他的罪孽,地要興起攻擊他。 |

The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him. |

他的家產(chǎn)必然過去。神發(fā)怒的日子,他的貨物都要消滅。 |

The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath. |

這是惡人從神所得的分,是神為他所定的產(chǎn)業(yè)。 |

This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God. |
