Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said, |

強辯的豈可與全能者爭論嗎。與神辯駁的可以回答這些吧。 |

Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it. |

于是，約伯回答耶和華說， |

Then Job answered the LORD, and said, |
|

我是卑賤的。我用什么回答你呢。只好用手捂口。 |

Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth. |
|
第5段
|
| 中文 |
我說了一次，再不回答。說了兩次，就不再說。 |
| 英文 |
Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further. |

于是，耶和華從旋風(fēng)中回答約伯說， |

Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said, |

你要如勇士束腰。我問你，你可以指示我。 |

Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. |

你豈可廢棄我所擬定的。豈可定我有罪，好顯自己為義嗎。 |

Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous? |

你有神那樣的膀臂嗎。你能像他發(fā)雷聲嗎。 |

Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him? |

你要以榮耀莊嚴(yán)為妝飾，以尊榮威嚴(yán)為衣服。 |

Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty. |

|

要發(fā)出你滿溢的怒氣，見一切驕傲的人，使他降卑。 |

Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him. |

見一切驕傲的人，將他制伏，把惡人踐踏在本處。 |

Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place. |

將他們一同隱藏在塵土中，把他們的臉蒙蔽在隱密處。 |

Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret. |

Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee. |

你且觀看河馬。我造你也造它。它吃草與牛一樣。 |

Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. |

它的氣力在腰間，能力在肚腹的筋上。 |

Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. |

它搖動尾巴如香柏樹。它大腿的筋互相聯(lián)絡(luò)。 |

He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. |

它的骨頭好像銅管。它的肢體彷佛鐵棍。 |

His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron. |

它在神所造的物中為首。創(chuàng)造它的給它刀劍。 |

He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him. |

諸山給它出食物，也是百獸游玩之處。 |

Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play. |

它伏在蓮葉之下，臥在蘆葦隱密處和水洼子里。 |

He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens. |

蓮葉的陰涼遮蔽它。溪旁的柳樹環(huán)繞它。 |

The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about. |

河水泛濫，它不發(fā)戰(zhàn)。就是約旦河的水漲到它口邊，也是安然。 |

Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth. |

在它防備的時候，誰能捉拿它。誰能牢籠它穿它的鼻子呢。 |

He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares. |
