All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. |

For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. |

And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty. |

你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了。因?yàn)槟銈儗⒈『�，茴香，芹菜，�?3：23）獻(xiàn)上十分之一。那律法上更重的事，就是公義，憐憫，信實(shí)，反倒不行了。這更重的是你們當(dāng)行的；那也是不可不行的。 |

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. |
