Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; |

Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. |

But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? |

Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first. |

你們?yōu)槲疑眢w的緣故受試煉,沒有輕看我,也沒有厭棄我。反倒接待我,如同神的使者,如同基督耶穌。 |

And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus. |

Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me. |

They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them. |

But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you. |

我小子阿,我為你們再受生產(chǎn)之苦,直等到基督成形在你們心里。 |

My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, |

我巴不得現(xiàn)今在你們那里,改換口氣,因我為你們,心里作難。 |

I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you. |

你們這愿意在律法以下的人,請告訴我,你們豈沒有聽見律法嗎。 |

Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? |

因?yàn)槁煞ㄉ嫌浿,亞伯拉罕有兩個(gè)兒子,一個(gè)是使女生的,一個(gè)是自主之婦人生的。 |

For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. |

然而那使女所生的,是按著血?dú)馍。那自主之婦人生的,是憑著應(yīng)許生的。 |

But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. |

這都是比方。那兩個(gè)婦人,就是兩約。一約是出于西奈山,生子為奴,乃是夏甲。 |

Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. |

這夏甲二字是指著阿拉伯的西奈山,與現(xiàn)在的耶路撒冷同類。因耶路撒冷和他的兒女都是為奴的。 |

For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. |

Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. |

But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. |

Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. |

弟兄們,這樣看來,我們不是使女的兒女,乃是自主婦人的兒女了。 |

So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free. |
